In this month's Better Homes & Gardens, there's a crochet pattern! In fact, it's the beautiful lap rug you can see on the cover. You apparently need a "flower loom" for it. I had no idea what that was, so I had to go off and investigate.
This is a flower loom.
It makes things like this:

Because YES! There is this gorgeous flower shrug that you can hook too!
I might have to go and buy this magazine tomorrow. I wonder if the library will have it in yet...
